Sahih Al-Bukhari (صحيح البخاري) in Arabic is the complete hadith collection of Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari, printed by Darussalam in Riyadh in a single hardcover volume. It is the full text with complete chains of narration, numbered according to al-Mu'jam al-Mufahras and Fath al-Bari, with references to the other places each hadith is narrated. Muslim scholars regard Sahih Al-Bukhari as the most authentic book after the Book of Allah, which makes this one-volume edition a core reference for students of knowledge, imams, teachers and anyone who reads hadith in Arabic.

Sahih Al-Bukhari: the most authentic hadith collection

Imam al-Bukhari (194 to 256 AH) was born in Bukhara and travelled through the Hijaz, Iraq, Syria and Egypt to hear hadith from the scholars of his time. He accepted into his Sahih only narrations that met his strict conditions for a connected chain of reliable narrators, and he arranged them in books and chapters whose headings are themselves a lesson in fiqh. Together with Sahih Muslim it forms the Sahihayn, the two collections at the heart of the study of hadith.

What you get in this Darussalam Arabic edition

The complete text with full isnad

This is the whole of Imam al-Bukhari's Sahih, with every chain of narrators given in full. The Arabic is fully voweled, which helps you read the names in each isnad and the wording of each hadith correctly.

Standard numbering

The cover describes the edition as corrected, numbered and arranged according to al-Mu'jam al-Mufahras and Fath al-Bari. That is the numbering most commentaries, indexes and online databases use, so you can move easily between this book and other references.

Cross-references to repeated narrations

Imam al-Bukhari often narrates the same hadith in several chapters to draw out different rulings. This edition marks those links with the word raji' (see) and the number of the related narration, so you can gather every place a hadith appears.

Based on the most accurate copies

According to the cover, the text is taken from the most accurate copies of the Sahih and has been checked and corrected.

Clear two-column layout

The page is set in two columns. The running header shows the book (kitab) you are reading together with the hadith and chapter numbers on that page, and each chapter (bab) heading is set apart from the narrations.
